This section highlights my journey in graphic design through various college courses that have enhanced my technical skills and creative expression. Through these classes, I worked on a range of comprehensive projects that pushed my design abilities and critical thinking. The assignments allowed me to gain hands-on experience with
industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro, as well as other tools like Canva and Procreate. Each project showcased here demonstrates my dedication to visual storytelling and my evolving understanding of design principles.
Introduction to New Media Design

This course introduced the fundamentals of digital art and design, emphasizing innovation and visual storytelling. We focused on creating screen-based projects that combined creativity with critical thinking. Key assignments included using futurecasting to envision industry developments and applying extreme nostalgia to reimagine past experiences in hypothetical scenarios. These projects involved designing advertisements that showcased imaginative concepts and refined my ability to merge traditional and digital media.
Typography

Under the guidance of Johnathan W. Swafford, this course provided an in-depth understanding of typography, covering letterforms, font selection, and text layout. Assignments included redesigning a type-based logo for a non-profit and creating a new movie title sequence using Adobe Premiere Pro. These projects enhanced my understanding of typography's role in branding and storytelling.
E-Publication Design

Taught by Warren R. Infield, this course focused on comprehensive digital publishing design projects. Assignments included designing a book cover and interior sample layout for a Christian Andersen chapter using InDesign and Procreate, and creating a magazine with an additional cover for the "next issue." The course emphasized cohesive, visually appealing publication design.
